Poems include quotes by Alan Cohen, Confucius, Buddha, Muhammad, etc. They are organized by names and from A to Z in coherence with the poems. The collection of poems includes 25 crafting poems from A to Z with quotes just like this one: Crafting is much like the letter U because crafting with used books is one of the best ways to add some style. It's a fun way to make an author's words become even more worthwhile! Crafting is also like U because crafting with the universe in mind is yet undefined but might be the best thing happening to mankind. Crafting with the universe might make you seem very small. Yet that one little space you take for you is the most important crafting space of all. Some very lucky few crafters are able to get in touch with it so make sure you work at it! Crafting is also quite like the letter U because crafting reminds me of crafting with used Christmas cards. Used Christmas cards are also quite nice because of every Xmas craft ingredient that is quite convenient and because crafting with Used Christmas cards also follows the crafting law of the "Petit Bourgeois." There are other things like the blue artistic law and the natural crafting law, but the important thing to remember they are all employing the unwritten law of hem and haw! If you think that this crafting thing is getting out of line, let me tell you this. Question the law of crafting and with you, an expert will have a grand ol' time! And as always, never, never forget this. Make sure to stay true to your hue of blue and your glue. If you stick to this you will always keep your artistic view! Umberto Ungerer can really speak to this: "The only exercise some people get is jumping to conclusions, running down their friends, side-stepping their responsibilities, and pushing their luck!" -Umberto Ungerer The book encourages everyone to start their own journey of craftiing contemplation and it concludes with some very encouraging thoughts so that everyone can chose to continue his or her path of crafting. The book helps with the discovery phase of crafting and opens the doors for more discovery. The ultimate goal is to encourage people who read the book to get started and to anticipate their own journey and their own crafting ritual. This is the first and most diffucult step. If you are open and willing to take that first step you will find your own Way of crafting. It's a spoof..... It's a look into today's tomorrow. In 1944 and 1946 Hugo Gernsback was publishing an electronics magazine that was titled Radio-Craft. You may or may not remember it. During this time, that same Hugo Gernsback send to many friends, associates, advertisers and others he deemed worthy, his forward looking little mini-magazines, which were takeoffs on his own publication. The first one, Mini Radio Craft, doubled was issued as a promotion for the Electronic Distribution Show. The second one, Radio-Cracy served as his 1944 Christmas Card. Both are fun, both predict things to come, and both are assembled here for those of us who did not have the honor of being on his mailing list. Enjoy!!!
The holiday season is about the spirit of giving. Friends and neighbors take a few extra minutes, put aside their differences, and share the holiday spirit through giving and generosity. "A Christmas Trilogy" is a representation of that same spirit, sharing three Christmas stories that focus on the joy of giving to others. In "The Christmas Gift," you'll meet Mike O'Connor, a young man from Chicago who hasn't been to visit his family for Christmas in several years because of an argument with his father. But when he finally decides to make amends, he becomes caught in a blizzard on Christmas Eve, stuck overnight at a diner. Will he find a way to make the rest of the journey, or will he head back to Chicago and leave things the way they were? "The Christmas Spirit" shares the tale of a boy named Billy who learns there is no Santa Claus when his classmates make fun of him for believing in a fairy tale. Billy's grandfather steps in and shows him that there's a way to keep the spirit of Santa alive-no matter how old you become. The final story, "The Christmas Guests," tells of the untimely death of Andrew Hennessey's wife and son, leaving him a lonely and bitter man, oblivious to the Christmas season. Can the arrival of some unexpected guests cause him to rediscover the Christmas spirit? "A Christmas Trilogy" will warm your heart and put you in the holiday spirit-no matter what time of year it is!
